The W.Lav was designed for users who don’t have to hide lavaliers. Many lavs on the market are designed to sound good hidden under clothing, which often means boosted high frequencies with the assumption that the clothing used to hide them will level that out. But those lavs sound too bright when exposed. So we designed a microdot lav meant to be used for corporate interviews, ENG shoots, and talking heads. A lavalier that would sound natural when exposed and clipped to someone’s lapel.

The W.Lav was designed with videographers and ENG camera operators in mind. While most lavaliers are designed to be hidden under clothing, everything about the W.Lav lends itself to being clipped to a collar. From its flat, natural sound profile to its matte finish that allows it to be unassuming on camera, the W.Lav is the perfect lavalier for interview shoots.
The inner wires of the W.Lav cable are surrounded by woven synthetic polymers for extra durability. The outer jacket is made of silicone in order to help prevent cable noise from being transmitted to the mic.
The W.Lav brings the microdot system to video professionals, ENG shooters, hotels, and houses of worship who may own or work with multiple types of wireless kits.
